By default, a published project is reachable at a CodeBlock Studio subdomain. Custom domains let it live at your own address instead, available on the Plus plan (1 domain) and Creator plan (unlimited domains).
Connecting one
- Open your project's settings and find the Custom Domain section.
- Enter the domain (or subdomain) you want to use.
- You'll be shown a DNS record (usually a CNAME) to add at whichever provider manages that domain's DNS.
- Add that exact record, then wait, DNS and SSL certificate issuance can each take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours to complete.
While you wait
It's completely normal to see a security/SSL warning in your browser for a while right after connecting a domain, this doesn't mean anything is wrong. See "My custom domain shows a connection/SSL error" if it's still not working after a longer wait.
If you downgrade or cancel
The domain connection itself isn't deleted, but it stops being served once your plan no longer includes custom domains, see "What happens to my projects if I downgrade or cancel?".
