- Go to your Profile page.
- Next to your Email Address, click Change.
- Enter the new email address you want to use.
- Confirm your current password, this is a security check to make sure it's really you making the change, not someone who happened to get access to your signed-in browser.
- A confirmation link is sent to the new address. Open that email and click the link.
The change only takes effect once you click that confirmation link, until then your account keeps signing in with the old address. This two-step process (password + email confirmation) prevents someone from locking you out of your own account by changing the email to one they control.
Tip: If your account has no password (a Google-only sign-in), you'll need to set one first — see "How do I change my password?" — before you can change your email, since the confirmation step needs something to verify against.
